  • What is LASER HAIR REMOVAL and why is better than any other hair removal techniques/procedures?
Laser hair removal is by far the most successful form of permanent hair removal. Temporary techniques such as waxing, shaving, IPL or hair removal creams have far less clinical proof and research. Speaking to a specialist during your free laser hair removal consultation at our romford clinic will help to answer specific queries that you may have.
  • What do I do before my first session?
Your laser specialist will discuss in depth how to tame your skin before and after treatments. We have put together a powerful trio of multiplatform home care products to prep, protect and maintain your skin. This kit is essential to optimise your results and keep your skin safe. Our Post laser Skin Care Kit consists of a wash, lotion and where applicable deodorant, all enriched with melaleuca alternifolia for the antibacterial, anti-sceptic and anti-inflammatory properties with no aluminium, parabens or alcohol!
  • How does it work?
The laser light selectively targets the melanin within the hair follicle. This light generates heat in the root of the hair, causing a controlled reaction which will destroy the unwanted hair follicle without damaging surrounding cells. The root will lay in the follicle for up to 2 weeks post laser session before falling out on it's own.
  • How much will it cost?
Treatments start from £50 per session. See our full price list for more information. We do offer seasonal promotions which may include laser hair removal. Why not add us on social media to keep up to date on all of our offers and promotions, social media links are at the footer of this page.
  • What happens during the sessions?
Our laser specialist will conduct a thorough consultation and patch test 24 hours prior to your first treatment. This to test skin reaction and suitability for treatment, if all is well a treatment plan will then be prescribed and you will be all set for your treatment.
  • How long does the procedure take?
The duration of each treatment is dependant on the size of the area treated. The minimum amount of time spent within a small area is 5 minutes of active treatment.
  • When will I start to see results and how long do the results last?
A significant difference can be seen after just one session, the hairs will be thinner and sparser and in some cases you can achieve between 10 - 20% reduction. A full course will need to be had in order to maintain these results, in most cases full clearance is permanent.
  • How many sessions will I need?
The amount of treatments required varies based on each individual person. Sessions are held at 8-10 week intervals for an average of 6-10 treatments for optimum results. This is because each individual hair has its’ own growing cycle called Anagen, Catagen and Telogen. This is not unlike the ‘cycle of life’ with Anagen being the ‘alive’ and growing stage, Catagen the ‘collapsing’ stage where the hair collapses away from its source of food and nourishment and the Telogen stage where the hair is ‘tired’ and dying and disconnected completely from the nourishment. Successful treatment for laser has to target the hair in Anagen to achieve optimum results as it is the destruction of the dermal papilla (nourishment source) which is required.
