YOU ASK, WE ANSWER!

Knowledge is Power

We strongly believe that no question is a stupid question. All queries, qualms and concerns are addressed with empathy, understanding and will be taken seriously, so do not hesitate to contact us with any enquiries.

Q.    What is ELECTROLYSIS and how does it work?

Electrolysis is FDA and CE approved to work when treating hair and skin lesions. Electrolysis is the original method of hair removal and removal of skin lesions, the proof of its efficient has been tested and shown on may occasions.

Q.    What are the benefits of electrolysis?

  • No scarring

  • Permanent results with both skin and hair

  • Smooth finish

  • Virtually pain free

  • Minimal downtime

  • Suitable on all skin types

  • FDA and CE approved

Q.    How do I maintain my skin during treatments??

The specialists at Skin Mod recommend Sterex Witch Hazel / Sterex Aloe vera depending

on the procedure. It has been approved by sterex manufacturers for its safety when

used after electrolysis treatments on all skin types.

When treating areas that may become exposed to the sun we strongly advise the

use of a physical, broad spectrum SPF. Our go to is Ultra Shield SPF50

by Epionce. Its lightweight formula protects from UVA and UVB rays and acts like as a

shield against free radical damage all whilst remaining waterproof for up to 80 minutes.

Q.    How much will it cost?

Electrolysis Hair Removal treatments start from £20 per session. Advanced Electrolysis treatment starts at £45. See our full price list for more information. We do offer seasonal promotions so why not add us on social media to keep up to date on all of our offers and promotions,  social media links are at the footer of this page.

Q.    What happens during the sessions?

Our laser specialist will conduct a thorough consultation prior to your first treatment. if all is well a treatment plan will then be prescribed and you will be all set for your treatment. Treatments can be preformed on the day witout a patch test.

Q.    How long does the procedure take?

The duration of each treatment varies depending on the type of treatment and size of the treatment are. Treatments can be as quick 15 minutes.

Q.    When will I start to see results and how long do the results last?

In most cases improvements can be seen from the first session onward, with hair removal a course will be required for optimum completion. The amount of sessions required vary with advanced electrolysis treatment.

Q.    How many sessions will I need?

The amount of treatments required varies based on each individual person. Sessions are held at 8-10 week intervals for an average of 6-10 treatments for optimum results. This is because each individual hair has its’ own growing cycle called Anagen, Catagen and Telogen. This is not unlike the ‘cycle of life’ with Anagen being the ‘alive’ and growing stage, Catagen the ‘collapsing’ stage where the hair collapses away from its source of food and nourishment and the Telogen stage where the hair is ‘tired’ and dying and disconnected completely from the nourishment. Successful treatment for electrolysis has to target the hair in Anagen to achieve optimum results as it is the destruction of the dermal papilla (nourishment source) which is required.
